I can't download it onto my iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.

FingerPrint does not run on your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. It is an application that runs on your Mac or PC. It discovers all the printers that your computer knows about, and makes those printers available for printing from your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.

I purchased FingerPrint. Where is my download?

We do not send you another version of FingerPrint after purchase. Download the free trial from our website and install it on your Mac or PC. The free trial is fully functional but is time limited. Chose Enter License Key... in the FingerPrint menu to register it and remove the time limiation.

What is a license key? All I have is a serial number.

The license key referenced in the software is the serial number of your purchase. We will align the verbiage in the next update.

I get an error when I try to register FingerPrint.

We have been told that it can take up to 15 minutes after purchasing FingerPrint from the web store to successfully register the license key. If registration does not initially work, please wait a bit and try again.

I don't see any printers in the main window.

This typically means that the license period for FingerPrint has expired.

I see my printers in FingerPrint, but when I go to print from my iPhone they don't show up.

Verify that your computer and your iPhone are connected to the same local network.

Verify that your iPhone has been updated to at least iOS 4.2.1.

Check to see if you have a firewall running on your Mac or PC that is blocking FingerPrint and/or Bonjour. Bonjour is a networking technology that your iOS devices depend on to find printers. Some firewalls block Bonjour networking traffic, which would cause your iOS devices to be unable to find the printers that FingerPrint advertises.

Check your router. Some routers do not support Bonjour networking which could also cause your iOS devices to be unable to find the printers that FingerPrint advertises.

I see the printer in my iPhone, but when I go to print nothing happens.

This could be a firewall problem. FingerPrint uses TCP/IP port 6631. Make sure that port is open on your firewall. Also verify that both your computer and your printer are not asleep.

My Mac says 'You do not have permission to use this printer' when I try to print.

This problem can be resolved by deleting the printer and then re-adding it.

General printing works, but when I try to duplex or print photos it does not work.

Unfortunately, some printers are not completely AirPrint compatible. Certain printer features such as duplexing, page ranges and photo printing might not work using AirPrint.
